X-men vs. Hulk vs. Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk

I say to Marvel stop with these horrible one-shots. I know they have to churn out some crap this to promote the Hulk animation movies they are doing, but really, unless there's a good story... just knock it off for fucks sake. Chris Claremont is writing the regular X-men vs. Hulk, and Scott Clark is going to make sure it looks like teeny bopper crap. Marvel is dishing the plot as " You're Colossus, the steel-skinned X-Man who can dish out some serious hurt. So when Wolverine wants to take you down a peg or two, who's he gonna call? If you're thinking mean and green, you're on the right track… " Seriously shitty. I have higher hopes for Damon Lindelof's version with Yu and McCaig doing the art. It has a chiseled Frazzetta style that I think works nicely within the Ultimate realm. Nick Fury is calling on Wolverine to track down the Hulk after he goes on a murderous rampage in New York. Set up to be a nice track and attack kind of story that harkens back to Wolverine's original encounter with the Hulk. Hopefully it's done with some taste and style. Anyways here's to vs. comics in all their simplistic glory! It's happy hour here, go get drunk.

Dark Avengers #1 - (ROSTER SPOILER)

Man I gotta say Dark Avengers just as Dark Reign starts off pretty big. I think this book is going to actually exceed the hype that It's gotten. Bendis kinda bored me a bit with the Secret Invasion Skrull event, but this story seems epic in scope. It's a team recruitment story with a bit of a twist. Norman Osborn is basically reforming a New Avengers team from past villains and 3rd stringers and repainting them as the classic heroes we all known from the Marvel Universe. Roster is : Iron Patriot (red white and blue Iron Man) - Norman Osborn, Hawkeye (classic purple costume) - Bullseye, Ms. Marvel - Moonstone, Wolverine (brown and yellow costume) - Daken (Wolverines son), Sentry (as Sentry), Ares (as Ares), and Spiderman (black costume) - Venom. Just how dark is the Dark Avengers? Norman Osborn feeds Venom an Skrull forced to mimic Spiderman before he eats him alive. We all know Norman is a murder, but man that's just straight-up daaaarrrrrrkkkkkkkkk. This whole issue is kind of a mockery and diss of the Marvel super-heros and couldn't have come in a more timely fashion that after all the mistrust and fumbling during Secret Invasion. Do yourself an favorand get this comic pronto.
